Halloween Artists Newsletter - January 2009

As site owner/manager, I must apologize for the lack of new
material for our newsletter. The past two months have been
interesting ones for many of us. With our favorite holiday,
Halloween, firmly past and the winter holidays taking our
attention, followed by the landslide election of our new
President, a New Year upon us and well, it's been a crazy
time in more ways than one.
This recession isn't any fun for any of us. It's so easy to
become stressed and depressed during hard times and allow it
to affect our ability to be creative. We worry and wonder
what the future will bring to us and our loved ones. As a
working artist, I find myself affected even more so and envy
the folks who hold "real" jobs.
Like Annie, however, I do believe the sun will come out
tomorrow, that tomorrow there'll be sun. I try to find
something good in every day of not-so-good. I may be
disheartened at times by low sales or apathetic associates
and patrons, but I still can see an amazingly orange sunset
and feel in awe of its colors, then tomorrow I may find
myself sitting down to create after all.
