About the Artist:

Boo and Hello!

My name is Linda Kennon, but for almost twenty years I've been called, "gourdqueen". I live in the beautiful little town of Natchez, Mississippi.

My husband Johnny and I have two grown sons, a lovely daughter in law and the sweetest grandson a gourdqueen could ever wish for! We also have three devilish kitties and five mischievous dogs.

I think I was born with a pencil and paint brush in each hand. I can't
remember not drawing or painting. Before these incredible gourds found me, I think I had been searching for
"my canvas". It's really strange how I became so obsessed with this peculiar fruit!

When I finish with a piece, I love to sit back and look at it. Sometimes I
am amazed and pleased with myself and other times I wonder why I even bother! This is a never ending cycle and each day I thank the dear Lord for allowing the cycle to continue.

The pieces shown in my gallery are sold and I never have anything in inventory (whatever that is). I do commissions and would love to hear from you!
