I own two Scottish
Terriers (or rather, THEY own me!) and I began selling on ebay
by creating
little paintings on canvas showing Scottie dogs in all sorts of
silly situations. I'd often add in Halloween themed paintings
during the fall season, but this quickly expanded to a year
round activity!
I've always had a love of spooky things like
The Twilight Zone and Night Stalker on television while growing
up and so designing and painting Halloween art just comes
naturally.

Hi, I'm D.A.
Sweigart, Halloween artist and owner of
Grim Prim Studio. My friends began
teasing me about using my initials to sign my art and soon
shortened the D A to Day, a nickname that stuck (and which I kinda like!).
I've been doing
some form of art ever since I can remember. In the eighties, I
was designing and selling Carousel Horse paintings, craft
designs and lithographs. It was fun but doing the show circuit
was very time-consuming and nutsy! Folks contact me from
time to time to tell me they STILL find my Carousel Art in their
local stores (probably on dusty back shelves!).
