Cheesecloth Ghost or Bandit Trick-or-Treater

Materials Needed:

Plaid Stiffy Fabric Stiffener - Glow-in-the-Dark
Black Acrylic paint 2 oz
1 yard of Cheesecloth
6 inch Styrofoam cone
2 1/2 inch Styrofoam ball
1 1/2 inch wooden dowel
plastic covered wire
poster board
8 inch square brown paper bag
disposable bowl
hot glue gun and sticks
black fun foam
plastic wrap

Bag & Mask Pattern

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Cover poster board with plastic wrap. Set aside.

2. Connect 6 in. Styrofoam cone and 2 1/2 in. Styrofoam ball using 1 1/2 in. dowel. Cut cheesecloth into three one foot lengths. Cut a 10 in. piece of wire and push through cone and bend to desired position for arms.

3. Cover entire form with plastic wrap. Place on wrapped poster board.

4. Soak cheesecloth in Stiffy. Drape cheesecloth over figure, one layer at a time. Arrange folds as desired and let dry 48-72 hours.

5. Enlarge the mask pattern 338%; cut mask from fun foam and tie on ghost.

6. Enlarge trick or treat bag pattern 338%; cut out bag from brown paper and glue edges. Stencil pumpkin face onto bag and glue bag to pumpkin.

7. Display and enjoy! (does not do well in the rain, so be sure to display only in dry weather or your ghost will look a bit down in the mouth!)
