Bling-Bling Faux Fruit

Materials Needed:

Plastic fruit with stems (small fake or real pumpkins look FAB!)
Clear-drying glue or spray adhesive
Paint brush
Fine opaque glitter
Newspaper or paper plate
Brown acrylic paint

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Lay out your newspaper or paper plate (use to catch the glitter).

2. Brush glue on the fruit or pumpkin in a thick even coat (You want to cover only half the pumpkin for now so you have something to hold on to. DO NOT hold it by the stem unless you have to).

3. Working over your newspaper or plate, hold the fruit in one hand and pour glitter over the glued surface of the fruit. Once you've covered all the glue, set aside to dry (about an hour).

4. Shake off excess glitter (this is where you return the excess glitter on your plate to its container. You thrifty girl, you!) and continue with the other half of the fruit.

5. Coat stem in brown paint. You can also glitter the stem if you like. You don't have to completely cover the bottom of the fruit, since it won't be seen.

Add a little Bling! to most any kind of gourd or fake fruit!
