All artwork featured on this site is handmade in the artists' own studios with the personal attention to detail that no factory-produced item can match.

We have a ghoulish gathering of Halloween artists offering the best in Halloween Folk Art and collectibles that includes paintings, sculptures and paper mache, functional art pieces, ACEO and art cards, mixed media collages, wood signs and much more!

All web design and maintenance of the site is lovingly handled by our Founder, D. A. Sweigart, fellow artist and web designer extraordinaire who graciously devotes both time and energy to our project.

Open Letter from Our Founder

"I wanted to try something different from the OTHER sites who feature artists or provide hosting for a fee. Being an artist often means being a starving artist at times and I wanted to offer a haven and marketing opportunity for other creative folks without breaking the proverbial bank. Hence, our innovative and (hopefully!) successful operating method of a Donations based site for artists.

Laugh if you will. Scoff if you must. I like to think that artists, by their very nature of imagination and creativity, have a way of viewing the world thru rose colored glasses...and maybe just a bit of childlike wonder... which allows us to be less cynical and more open-minded than some. Time will tell!

I also believe that art is art, no matter the medium or the level of expertise. To that end, all artists should be nurtured and supported in their need to create. For every piece of art created by a lone artist in the dead of night, there is a collector out there who will value it. And sometimes, it is the ACT of creating that is vital to our well-being, not the status of our egos.

My hopes for this site, this Gathering of Artists, are wildly optimistic and entirely enjoyable. Life should be FUN! I hope you agree and find HalloweenArtists.com one of your favorite destinations for folk art, collectibles, and the discovery of new artistic visions!"
